ROUTE UPDATE JUNE 24: Parks has issued a bear warning for the whole of Evan Thomas and they’re not allowing us to use any trails. Leg 10 will start at the Village Centre as planned, go along the edge of the parking lot and run down Centennial Drive, also staying on the left so you’ll be across from runners going up to the hotel. You will turn left on Mt. Allan Drive and run up to the Nakiska gates where you will make a uturn and go back down to Centennial Drive, you’ll cross Mt. DESCRIPTION: This leg starts and finishes at the Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge near the entrance to the Village Centre beside Rocky’s. It follows Terrace Trail to the Ribbon Creek parking lot. Runners cross the parking lot and head onto Hidden Trail then Skogan Pass Trail. After crossing Mount Allan Drive, runners will follow Skogan Pass Trail to Troll Falls then down to Stony Trail. This is a direct out and back route so after turning around, runners will head back exactly the way they came to finish at the village. Since the trails are open to the general public, markings can get accidentally moved or broken.
