We all know that the running season doesn’t end when the snow flies, but it seems like races do! This is your opportunity to get one final race in before everyone retreats to their treadmills.
Be There Races presents the 19th annual Last Chance Half Marathon. Not up for a half marathon in November? Or just want a gentler distance? We introduced a 10km in 2019 which became very popular. The 10 km route will be on the same pathways as the half marathon with an earlier turn around point.
The start/finish location is at the North Glenmore Park Community Centre and we utilize pathways from the community centre, around Rockyview hospital and along the reservoir. It is a beautiful, albeit tough, course! Please see the route maps for details. Your entry fee includes a t-shirt, finishers medal, post race lunch and Annex beer. Yup, all included!
We do have access to indoor space at the community centre. Washrooms are also inside the community centre building. We also have access to one of the rooms upstairs so feel free to be inside when you’re not running.
Food and beer
We will have sub sandwiches and snacks for all runners plus Annex beer. All included in your entry fee.
Awards
We will have awards for the top three men and women in each 10 year age group. Stride’s Running Store will be there with some awesome prizes for our top finishers.
Package pick up
Will be at Strides Marda Loop (3566 Garrison Gate SW) on Saturday, November 8 from 10:30 – 2:30. To reduce congestion, we ask you to sign up for a package pick up window of time. Please sign up for your time here.
You can pick up for another person but please take the corresponding number of slots when you sign up.
Out of town runners: If you won’t be in Calgary during the package pick up times and don’t have somebody who can pick up on your behalf, you can pick up at the race start on November 9 beginning at 9:00 AM

CE Sport Therapy
Our friends at CE sport therapy will be on site to provide mini treatments. Visit them inside the community centre upstairs.
Fundraising for MitoCanada
When you register for the Last Chance Half Marathon online, you can also choose to make a donation directly to our charity partner, MitoCanada. Or, you can send the link to friends and family who can sponsor you.
Please note: race registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable. You will be given the option to purchase cancellation insurance when you register online. You can transfer your own registration between distances.
